400. Monday December 10th – The Knitting Factory – International Pop Overthrow –NYC, NY
(a truly heroic night for The Jellybricks. First our van's engine caught on fire, stopping us cold in Phillipsburg, NJ. Thanks to Garrick's wedding gift to Bryce, a fire extinguisher, and Bryce's almost-ability to operate it, the fire was defeated. We and the van were then towed to a garage, where Bryce and Garrick called a car-rental place at the Allentown what's-it-called airport, and then took a 20-minute cab to take them to it. A while later, they returned in a rental van, which eventually delivered us miraculously to the club to play our set. Why? We love David Bash, that's why.)
401. Saturday December 15th – The Norfolk Scope Arena – ‘Santapalooza 2001' – (w/Pete
Palladino – opening for Jeffrey Gaines and The Barenaked Ladies) – Norfolk, VA
(a gig of a lifetime, no exaggeration. We were very well received by the audience backing an exuberant performance by Pete, got to chat and laugh a bit with Mr. Gaines, who also captured the audience with a powerful acoustic set, and eventually we had the pleasure of meeting a few of the Ladies. They were extremely gracious and friendly, but none of us anticipated an invitation to sing with them for their encore! Indeed, if you were there, you heard Pete and the ‘bricks singing ‘feed the world! Let them know it's Christmas time again' along with BNL on "Do They Know It's Christmas?" Bizarre, and electrifying.)

((BLT hold the G acoustic) We finally get a taste of the “Rennaissance” that is 2nd Street in downtown Harrisburg: drunken half-breeds eating our food from our plates, hounding us to play Poison, Bon Jovi, & Guns‘n’Roses covers, while enjoying the first beers of a long career of underachievement in, presumably, Harrisburg’s “young urban professional district.” None of us was vomited upon, fortunately.)

Garrick and Bryce make a maverick attempt to get home, which is treacherous and long, but successful, while Tom and Larry waited out the rain with Bridges, eventually being delivered home safely by Derek Lucas, at the helm of a Schoolbus…at about 8:30 in the morning.)

Not to mention The Jellybricks, with special guests Matt Thomas from Parallax Project joining us with some smokin’ B3 sounds, and our producer Cliff Hillis, of Cliff Hillis & the Forward Thinkers and IKE fame, mounting the stage in record time to add the “open windows open doors” backing vocals to an organ-graced version of “Easy For You.” Marvellous, indeed.
